It’s not a binary review system
More balanced.
IMDb shows the information of the movies of all around the world. I can easily know about a movie which is not in my native language from there but Rotten Tomatoes doesn't have that for all the movies. That keeps IMDb ahead of Rotten Tomatoes to me.
cuz
I have never found rotten tomatoes reviews useful. Always underrate the movies and it if often more misleading than anything when trying to find out more about a film.
Rotten tomatoes has poor reviewers.
...
Cu it true
Its has a lot more factual results
B
Critics are not always right about movies.
Ok
it's better
, m
IMDb: easy Rotten tomatoes: too hard
IMDb Is better than rotten tomatoes
g
Quite frankly it seems to me that the viewers on IMDB are far more mature.
Better user interface. More accurate reviews.
Because aliens got dropped down from an 100% to 98% on rotten tomatoes because of this evil guy named gene siskel
More professional
l
logic
I easily agree with most of there reviews.
idk
While some people may consider RT's review more 'accurate', but I'd take the general public's word over many a critic any day.
The ratings are more realistic and accurate
easier navigation better search options
IMDB is the best because it is built for users, because exist a lively community around it...
Rotten Tomatoes is just too negative, IMDB gives a better rating overall and lets you check what demographic liked a movie also.
Critics do not express he audience opinion.
dasdasd
IMDB because its more of a democracy as it allows everyone to have a
say, unlike RT which mostly only has critics rating movies
i think it has better choices
They aren't ridiculous
IMDB has a better rating system and IMDB's users reviews are in my opinion way more honest than the "recognized members of writing guilds or film critic groups" from rotten tomatoes
better
better
because it's rating are much more reasenable than rotten tomatoes
Actually, to me, they're worldwide #2 after Allocine, a french site, but IMDB is really exhaustive, that's why they're good.
I have tried both and most times IMDB was more accurate.
My ****
Seems to represent my interests better and never fails me when trying to find a movie where as in rotten tomatoes high rated movies are sometimes **** and percentages seem inconsistant
becoz its all abt muvs ,muves & muves not abt **** tomatoes :-P
IMDB have TOP250
Movies are made for the viewing public. That's who pays money to go see them. I care if it was entertaining and enjoyable and so do most who rate movies on IMDB. A critic's idea of a good movie is often VERY different than your average Joe's idea of a good movie. So Rotten Tomatoes, which relies heavily on critics for input, generally misses the mark and often underrates a good movie.
I believe IMDB is better only because I'd rather know what the average user feels about a review than a film critic.
Rt too harsh
coz its the ****
**** rotton T
Has user reviews, links to metacritic.com, and then links to external reviews. Easier to get an easy to evaluate range of opinions and plot summaries
Older and better.
In general, ratings seem to be more realistic.
nice movie site
more public
is best
The main issue in this case is not a matter of why IMDB is better, but why Rotten Tomatoes is worse. The pre-reviews (those that appear on movie 2-3 weeks before their release) always set the tone of the main reviewers - who seem more likely to jump on the bandwagon than write their actual thoughts. The system, assigning a rating based on the number of people that giving the movie a passing grade is rediculus and leads to movies appearing to have rating far higher or lower than they actually should. Ie: everyone thinks a movie a 60% quality movie, therefore it gets a 100% rating. This applies on both ends of the extreme.
I have more respect for the reviews of the general public, not some film critic who decided an action film was terrible because it had too much action, or some comedy wasn't funny because it didn't have enough drama in it. I want a review from a person like me, who thinks like I do. Every review is special to that persons interests, so when I read a review from some critic it really isn't anything special to me.
It has users to choose which one is the best unlike Rotten Tomatoes. A particular individual may like the movie and another maynot like the same. Then what about rating by particular people from big publication houses. Let the movie buffs rate the movies.
Its way better
Amazon supported
wealth of information
They are not even comparable!
before watch the movie i watch the rating of the movie, after watching movie many times i think that the rating given by imdb is good.
I love being able to see the voter demographic.
b coz it's the best ...
It's environmet... awesome. I get about the film I need
More Reviews, so, the final result gets more acurate
Its user friendly
**** brilliant
the combined opinion of thousands of movie goers weighs more than the opinion of a few dozen movie critics
Because the way rotten tomatoes gives a movie a rating is flawed.
More information
ecause its better
Scale
because of yah mum
rottentomatoes doesn't look good at all.
it answers all movie queries
Rotten Tomatoes just self sabatoged their whole website with the latest update.
Congrats IMBD. This will finish them. It's aweful.
