html5, from what ive seen enables you to do things similar to flash, but in a slowly and highly interperated way. Flash itself compiles down into a smaller bytecode, while javascript and Html5 and bloated and slow. Html5 is almost flashes slowly and worser, but inbuilt cousin :( I love flash!
