In mu opinion Dell taco has better food and a much better selection of items. Their cheeseburgers are great also!
Dell Taco's meat just seems like real meat and I am not sure what is in taco bells meat anymore but I don't care for it.
I worked at Taco Bell in the 80's and made TONS of taco meat, it was just ground beef in 50 lb. boxes and taco seasoning...What's there now tastes nothing like what was around then. Dell taco has fresh veggies on their items and shrimp tacos / burritos, fish tacos, burgers, great fries and many other items....Del Taco for the win! in my book.

Taco Bell was great in the 70's and maybe into the 80's, but now it's just ****, not even what a human would consider "food." Fake meat, fake cheese...on and on.
Del Taco actually cooks their food, and it's way fresher than Taco Bell, which is all pre-packaged in bags and heated up with boiling water. Del Taco is now what Taco Bell used to be in the 1970's.
They use whole beans. Taco bell uses dry ingredients.

I grew up loving Del Taco better than Taco Bell. I now live in Carlsbad,CA and they should build a Del Taco in the City of Carlsbad.

Dell taco has fish tacos on the menu, and offers fries. The Food at Del taco seems less processed, and tastes fresher. I also like that Del Taco is a stand alone chain, and not affiliated with Pizza Hut or KFC.
Consistency of quality. Green burritos are a nice change of pace. Sales reps seem better at customer service -getting drive through orders right.

Food is made with fresher ingredients at Del Taco vs. Taco Bell. Just something about knowing that Del Taco's beans are made from scratch and the cheese is freshly grated. Bean and cheese burrito ... yum! Crispy Shrimp Tacos ... WAY better than Taco Bells. And I like that Del Taco has hamburgers and fries, giving me choices.
