I wouldn't have to buy a laptop as well. With an iPad, I would have to buy a laptop. Personally, I would get a 14" screen laptop that beats both in every way except size/weight.

cheaper more programs and they can actually write word documents for school, not to mention you dont have to worry about a touch screen breaking
