Difference between Dubai and Singapore
Both Dubai and Singapore fall into the category of small and wealthy city-states, but aside from the similarities that come with such a classification, both are as different from the other as any two cities could be. With each having its own distinctive cultures and personalities, both are definitely worthy of the comparison that we present here.

Dubai is an emirate of the United Arab Emirates, and it is located towards the southern section of the Arabian Peninsula, bordering the Persian Gulf. It is currently the second largest of seven emirates in the nation in terms of land territory, and is the most densely populated.
Singapore is known officially as the Republic of Singapore. It is a city-state located in the southern section of the Malay Peninsula, a scant 137 kilometers to the north of the equator. Singapore is an island country that is comprised of 63 islands, and it is bordered by the Straits of Johor to the north, which separates it from Malaysia. Towards the south of the islands lies the Singapore Strait.
Entertainment
Dubai is home to a flourishing movie scene, with Hollywood as well as Indian titles being quite poplar with the residents. The city has also hosted the renowned Dubai International Film Festival since 2004, and this has served as a prominent platform for local filmmakers. Over the years, numerous internationally renowned musical acts have also performed in Dubai, and the city has hosted the well-received Dubai Desert Rock Festival featuring a variety of rock artists as well.
Singapore is no slouch when it comes to culture as well, with the government pushing for its recognition as a center for arts and culture since the 1990s. In fact, many see the country as a center point between Eastern and Western musical forms. In addition, Singapore is home to a flourishing dance and stand-up comedy scene, with the Genee International Ballet Competition held in 2009 being one of the more notable recent events.

In the culinary scene, Dubai is of course known mainly for Arabic food, although there are many other foods from different countries available as well. Here you can find anything and everything from tiny shawarma stands to high-end restaurants in the city's finest hotels. In between, there is a variety of fast food options, along with scores of South Asian and Chinese eating spots.
Singapore is also home to a healthy culinary scene, and it has in fact been said that along with shopping, dining is what the city-state does best. Reflective of its ethnically diverse population, Singapore boasts of a wealth of culinary choices from Asian countries as well as many other countries from around the world.
