Used Gillette since 1991, then they went political. Switched to Schick, and I’ll never turn back. Best of luck to the Boston Soy Bois at Gillette.
the handle is easier to hold. I gave up on Gillette ages ago. Like okay teen years are gone. Adults. it's time for Schick. Now unless you have one or a chinese copy of the original 1895- pre 1920 ones , Frankly the moment anyone got away from a single plate trick it had more to do with smooth than cutting. Both last about the same but the old ones can be stropped more.

Schick Hydro is very smooth. It glides over the face like it's skating.
Closer, fewer snags
Much better shave.
Both are very good, but can go almost two months with a Schick razor and they are less expensive as well.
It feels better and the cost is lower. Also, I can get many more shaves from a Schick before it gets dull.

When a new Gillette generation cartridge comes to market, the current cartridges on the market lose their quality.
When I used the all new gilette pro glide, it was not smooth for my skin. Therefore, I switched to the schick quattro 5 and I love it!
