Mostly because a lot of people told me that 3DTV was overhyped, and LED consumed less energy, and had a better resolution, not sure about that.

Well I been convinced that the 3D tv at home is less effective than the cinema one's. Also, the image flicks sometimes when using the glasses. Considering the cost of the glasses, the image is a let-down. LED hasn't have the negative effects.

Based on current technology 3D have to evolve, it is not yet ready for daily use.
because if you have a party in the house you cannot provide everyone with the glasses.

I would recommend buying a LED TV rather than a 3D TV because 3d technology is still evolving.We dont see many movies in 3D whereas in the other hand LED TV's are the most sold and the right choice for today.I love my Samsung 3D5900 smart tv.

3D is hard on the eyes. Ouch in the cost. Also, I just don't care for it because it barely makes a difference in a show or movie. Now, the graphics in technology have advanced enough to make images look real in 2D. I don't need 3D to prove it.
