The bathroom is full of germs, not just bacteria. You could get all sorts of nasty stuff and antibacterial just won't do the job.

Because above, in explaining the difference between the two, it appears that antibacterials are used for people - living things. Disinfectants are used for things - non-living items.

Because when cleaning a bathroom, you are dealing not only with simply microorganisms, but also viruses, bacteria and organic contaminants. You can't usually clean a bathroom sufficiently to kill off ALL microorganisms, so you want to knock down their numbers to as low as possible, while also cleaning out the organic contaminants. That calls for a disinfectant (and some sort of detergent).
