It's not worth even comparing...no show can ever be good like Seinfeld friemds was just boring in last bunch of seasons whereas Seinfeld got funnier from 4 to 9 so it has to be Seinfeld

Interesting characters
It was all around funnier! The plots, the characters, and the themes. Not one episode was bad, and no wonder it was nominated for more than 30 Emmys.
While both great shows, Friends followed the beaten path of the sitcoms before it. Seinfeld broke all conventions by having its characters be well into there thrities and forties, no relationships between them, and having them be dis-likable conceited people. Friends, along with most other sitcoms, did the opposite of this. Seinfeld is the better show because it was one of a kind.

Seinfeld is easily more realistic. Like I have used the conversations beween jerry and george amzing number of times in real life. I do not recollect being able to use friends lines in real life. Although it was also hilarious. Seinfeld takes the cake for being more relatable, and very intelligent.

Seinfeld had a lot more varied subjects covered in different episodes than Friends.
Friends repeated the same episodes in different ways about every week.
Seinfeld had many more special guests and co-stars that was outside the group of normal cast.
Friends rarely had any of these. I only recall Bruce Willis and Tom Seleck.
Seinfeld was just plain funnier and better.. friends was like a lamer version of 90201 for adults.

although both are great sitcoms. In Seinfeld, the plots are much more cleverly fashioned than Friends and invariably culminate to a very clever ending. It is a little more high brow and doesn't compromise it's humour to appeal to a mass market, unlike friends.
Friends sucks. I have never fund it funny whereas Seinfeld is hilarious.
Seinfeld was just pure comedy; I love how there was no drama in it, unlike Friends, and how the final episode just puts a middle finger up to the other final episodes of other sitcoms
