It is impossible to live in New York unless you are a millionaire. The rent is too high. In London, the rent is still appalling, but at least you get some compensation with less tax.
Because I fall in love to London. It's the most inedible city.
Better transport, less competitive, more genteel
One of my biggest reasons is the connections it have to some of the most beautiful places in the world. Plus it has all of the features of nyc
London is the capital of the world!!
I am American and I love New York City, however I think culturally and historically London IMHO is more fascinating than New York. New York undoubtedly has more energy, night life, and arguably a better financial scene than London, however being so close to France, Belgium, the Netherlands and Spain, not to mention Wales, Northern England, and Scotland makes for a richer culural expierience.
I love New York City, but London has so much history as well as culture and the proximity to the European continent is an extra plus.
History,Culture,Museums, proximty to the European continent, transport plus you still have Wales and Scotland. You also have the Royal family, Windsor castle, Stonehenge,City of Bath, City of York, City of Cambridge, and the best tea in the world.
I have been to New York City and have lived in England, (70 miles north of London) and I loved the history, culture, and ambiance of London, although New York is admittedly more energetic. London is great with it's wide open green spaces and beautiful architecture.
It's in europe
