As a stand up comedian Jim has more content, skills and experience while from an acting perspective Will Farrell is much better than Jim. Jim Carry has had lot of success in cinema as well despite of not having strong exposure and experience in acting/movies. Will Farrell's comedy is mostly sarcastic and lacks stand up comedy skills like spontaneity and body languages because he memorizes and prepares his content in advance. To sum up, Will Farell is a far better actor than Jim Carrey but as a comedian Jim Carry is the best.

Because Jim Carry makes it real natural, its funny and he's laughing at his own expense more than at others. Everything with Ferrel is extremely forced to where the air of the screen is awkward and its discomforting to watch.
