Mitochondria have numerous functions but the main one is the creation of Adenosine Tri Phosphate or ATP, which is used for energy. Mitochondria are also involved with metabolism at the cellular level, calcium ion storage, and may be involved with cell death.
*I heard that Mitochondria mutates auspiciously often but still functions much the same way it did millions of years ago.
Because it was the properties of bacteria. But even tough it mutates often it still serves roughly the same function it did many millions of years ago.
DNA is effected by the amount of RNA that there is to replicate the messages. When RNA is decreased through not breastfeeding there is not enough RNA to replicate the blueprint so the cell tries to replicate what is most important. This is why not breastfeeding literally denatures the cell.
Think when you built buildings with legos. You see a picture of a building that requires 1,000 legos and over time you lose some playing so you can still build the exterior of the building to keep it a building but the depths of the walls must change, the amount of floors must change, the thickness of the floors etc. The inside is less detailed but the exterior of the building still looks like a building however, at some point you might also have to alter the thickness of the walls as well. When the walls can't support the structure the building cannot be used as a building. This is a perfect example of cancer where the cells can't do their job anymore in form or function.
Also, in cellular technology the amount of cellular structure that is created alters its mass as well as its energy and electrical charge and polarity which has a domino effect on other things such as making proteins and hormones.
