Because when I used Colgate toothpaste before getting Crest, it had a really nasty mint flavor. I think Colgate might've used a wrong type of mint to be honest. Crest, however, is way less nastier and much more gentler on the enamel, using the correct type of mint. Both of the toothpaste brands in question specifically are the baking soda and peroxide ones. On the Colgate one, the toothpaste is just plainly white, whilst the Crest brand has a soothing blue with lighter blue stripes. This stuff pretty much is true. So that's why Colgate is that cheap and why Crest was better. At least I recently switch to Crest because of the bad mint taste and effectiveness of the toothpaste. After using that Crest toothpaste, my teeth were a bit better and slightly whiter.

I love both brands but Crest tastes slightly better and strong.
To me it seems less bighty-- or more sweet. It doesn't seem as "simple" so-to-speak as Colgate. This is for the plain cavity fighting toothpastes.

Better taste with crest pro health toothpaste. Colgate total has soapy after taste for me. Crest pro health has more therapeutic benefits. I'm still a little iffy about triclosan in the colgate product.

I have always used Crest. I guess it is just habit to buy it. But, it is very very very very confusing when I go to buy Crest. There are so many varieties to choose. And, they all seem to do basically the same thing. Why not just have one or two kinds for people to choose?

It has a great chace of whitting your teeth. Colgate douse not have a chance with crest around. So I would just say bye bye to colgate.The flavers are really good. THe colers are so cool. It keeps your breath so refreshing for a really long time. I would love to use crest when i brush my teeth. I want my teeth sparkly clean. So that is why i chose crest over colgate. GO crest. BOO colgate.

i did an experiment on crest 3d whitening, colgate baking soda and peroxide, and arm and hammer compleat care extra whitening. i am in the 4th gread and i did this for science fair. my reasults showed crest 3d whitening woked the best.
