It feels more like a documentary with that wonderfully witty, dry, British sense of humour, whereas the American version borders on predictable, rehashing the same formula seen before in every other US sitcom.

There is no forced humor, Ricky is the narcissistic boss he really is whereas Steve forces the issue so much that his performance is as fake as all his other shows.
The office US is too sitcom like.
It's obvious.
