New York is the capital of the world -- A New Yorker will be out of place at any other city. The warmth and pace of New York far exceeds that of any other city. UNO is here, Wall Street is here, NYSE is here, Nasdaq is here, Columbia University is here, Metropolitan museum of arts is here and above all - the Statue of Liberty is here. City of Skyscrapers with Empire state building as well.

It is democracy there. You can live as you want to live, see the real life. Can see poor, bad and good people, people who do not know why do they exist in this life. You can have a lot of foreign different friends who need your help!

It is impossible to live in New York unless you are a millionaire. The rent is too high. In London, the rent is still appalling, but at least you get some compensation with less tax.

I am American and I love New York City, however I think culturally and historically London IMHO is more fascinating than New York. New York undoubtedly has more energy, night life, and arguably a better financial scene than London, however being so close to France, Belgium, the Netherlands and Spain, not to mention Wales, Northern England, and Scotland makes for a richer culural expierience.

I have been to New York City and have lived in England, (70 miles north of London) and I loved the history, culture, and ambiance of London, although New York is admittedly more energetic. London is great with it's wide open green spaces and beautiful architecture.
