More balance of political viewpoints on drudge. Drudge links to 'left' and 'right' sites allowing for balanced news exposure.

Drudge articles reflect reality. Huffington articles distort reality.

Oh please. Everyone and I mean everyone gets their show prep from Drudge. He's driven the conversation for the last decade and he's just one person. Huffpo was created in a moment of desperation and anger by the lefties in Hollywood following W's re-election in 2004. The only way Huffpo has been able to compete with Drudge is by diversifying and adding a broader range of content in order to drive traffic. This is not an apples to apples comparison. The brilliance of Drudge is in its simplicity. Let Huffpo strip themselves down to the same type of format and then this becomes a legitimate debate. But until then, CNN, MSNBC and all the rest of them can sleep easy knowing that Drudge is doing their job.

Drudge doesn't have a far left or right bias. It seems to lean right but is more centrist than Huffpo which is way left.

Huff has a lot of lies on there. Huff doesn't check sources. If I want Hollywood news I go to Tmz. Drudge just gives the facts and links to major sources and leaves it to the reader to decide.

I find Huff Po has a lot of stories that are not reliable. For instance to smear a republican senator of a state.. the article claimed this senator had been arrested... look up the senators name and state on google.. no arrest.. turns out someone with the same name was arrested.. lies. Lots of stuff like this. Drudge has links to stories you would never find on Politico, NYTs, WP...etc. or Huff.. and the sources are legitimate. A lot of times after a story shows up on Drudge.. it takes at least a week for Huff to report, if at all, especially if the person has a D next to their name. I don't read about Hollywood stars and that's on Huff.. if I want to read about a star.. I go to TMZ. I can read many international papers on Drudge. I can read local metro papers on Drudge. I find Drudge easier to navigate than Huff. Commenting on Huff is painful.. I gave up and there is a lot of screening.. mainly if you are not liberal your comments don't get posted. The comments are difficult to read and follow.
All of my favorite sites are on Drudge, except one. Drudge usually has the big breaking news.. So I prefer Drudge.

No spin - just news

For people with busy schedules who just want an overview of interesting links Drudge tops Huffpo hands down. I dare say given the simplicity of the site and design, maintenance is minimum and probably reaps a much higher profit.

The huffington post is loaded with hatred. Drudge is not biased. It points to external sites.
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
Both sites are biased but I just prefer the wider variety available on Huff.
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
Huffington is broadly more diverse. The news articles are much better written and organized. It is journalism vs an unorganized mob.
