Brown rice upsets my stomach and gives me heartburn. White rice is one of the only starchy foods my broken digestive tract I can tolerate. I developed digestive problems after trying to make the whole-grain/vegetarian thing for years but just got sicker the more I did it.

eat white rice because it has less toxins than brown rice. This is a major factor no one seems to discuss on these comparisons. Many paleo authors are coming around and even allowing white rice as a source of "safe starches." Besides, the nutrients you get from brown rice is negligible anyway. Get your nutrients from animal sources and veggies. Also, to the earlier post that animal fat is such a scary thing ...read the "The Great Cholesterol Con" by Anthony Colpo.

Why do you think our ancestors had less health problems & could work farms well up into their 80's. They didn't eat processed food. They not only ate their food as it was grown but they also ate very little meat as it was hard to keep. I'd much rather eat veggies than meat that hung in the smoke house & was full of eggs from flies & other insects eggs on the hanging meat. Check things out on your computer.

But low n behold I have found a new store today that carry's it in 8lb bag and now I will be purchasing it from now on!! I'm really tyring to eat healthy n cut off rice all together but my family and I love RICE :).
