The monarch is the state so anything that makes the state look bad makes the monarch look bad. They’ve also grown with knowledge on not just how to run their country but the on the people and communities inside the country so by the time they become king/queen they know exactly what to do and what is best for the country. Monarchy also eliminates the divisiveness that comes with democracy eg brexit and Trump and monarchy doesn’t allow extremism to flourish like republics do eg communism and nazism

Compare Commonwealth nations to most republics, they're happier, wealthier, cleaner, and more peaceful with a monarch as head of state. Countries like Netherlands or Norway or Sweden with monarchs are also peaceful mostly
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
In a monarchy the fact that there is one ruler makes it harder for a political party or corporation to take over which ensures some stabllity for the people. Having a defined hierarchy helps provide peace and development
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago

Monarchs for the most part tend to be apolitical and additionally, wish to see their line continue and in doing so, would avoid unnecessary wars when possible. Also, a look at the human rights situation around the world can be enlightening on this subject as every one of the worst dictatorships, even those with hereditary succession are considered republics and in fact, many of the worst incidences of human rights abuse (**** and communist holocausts, rise and fall of Saddam Hussein, the chaos and corruption in Latin America, wars in Afghanistan, etc.). While detractors may ask about the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Saudis were pretty much a dynasty of desert bandit chieftains who got lucky and conquered the the oil fields, Mecca, and Medina and were allied with religious fanatics who also happened to be bandits- i.e. imagine if an Italian mafia clan aligned itself with some christian hardliners and took over Italy.

A monarchy provides this country with great role models, such as Prince William, for this distraught generation to look up to. Also, there isn't a person in the world that doesn't at least know of the Royal Family. They generate billions annually in revenue through tourism, and add amazing prestige value to our nation.

  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
Because a monarchy is of natural order wheras a republic is based on communism and chaos, with a monarchy you have the right people in charge that are qualified to be head of state and run a country, but in a republic you have vile opportunistic dirty rotten politicians who are there just for the fame and glory and are in no way capable nor qualified to run a country. Monarchs are bred from birth to lead and have the right qualities to do so,a country needs a king not a politician.

I know many of us Americans never even question a Republic/Democracy because of what we are always told. A Monarchy makes the Leader fully responsible to the people, and doesn't have the confusion & division the US has today. Everyday thousands of people loose their jobs & Homes and do not know who is at fault! Criminals in the Government are getting away with invading other countries, stealing, killing and no one can stop it! Communism is not a Monarchy. In the US the Leader only serves 4-8 years and always ends up answering to the highest bidder and not the people. That way of leadership creates corruption and cannot take responsibility for leading, it just points the finger. This is why we have 2 parties. If a president is bad for the people, his only consequence is no Re-election. If a King is bad for the people, it's off with his head. There is no such thing as a perfect way to Lead the people. But it's too late now, most of the people are brainwashed with many layers of propaganda, it's very hard to find the true criminals of mankind. But here's a hint... Find out who runs, Hollywood, Media, Banks, Government, Academia colleges & education, Courts, & politics. The answer will be one u would never expect and will be hard to even consider them as such. Why? What's the one race/religious group never characterized as a villain (negative), but only shown in a positive Light?

BECAUSE! IT'S A MONARCHY! I MEAN COME ON!
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
because a republic is just complete ****!
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
Because in my opinion there can be no peace without order.A monarchy is order where as a republic is chaos(will of the people) ruling a nation is huge responsibility, and it takes someone with a special insight and a birthright to take on such a role.If i can give you an example as to why a monarchy is the only true and right form of government let me explain, take an 18 wheeler for example , you know someone with a certain kind of skill and responsibility can and should only operate that vehicle right, would you want ten people trying to drive that big truck at once or would you prefer to have one specially skilled person behind the wheel of that big truck, what do you think will happen if more than one person attempted to drive that vehicle at once, That's right things would turn to chaos and disorder if more than one person was operating that vehicle instead of one person. so that's pretty much my comparison of a monarchy and a republic.

  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
Just look at the history of the last two hundred years. The worst atrocities against humanity have been committed in the name of freedom and were committed by republics: French Revolution, Bolshevik Revolution, the overthrow of the Emperor of China, and let's not forget that **** Germany was also a republic.
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
With a republic you have so many people talking at once that it just seems like noise and nothing gets done. With a monarchy you have one final stern voice that has no affiliation with a political party and does what is best for the country. This is not to say that i believe in an absolute monarchy.

  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
In monarchy the head of state does not belong to any political party and is taught from a young age to represent their country and its people. Monarchs are usually the most popular and famous than the presidents. And when the monarch dies, there is the automatic succession, so do not spend millions on elections.
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago

I selected this option because everyone gets a say on who gets elected and the elected person doesn't have all the power.
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
hi
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
Because monarchies are more totalitarian to its people than republics. Republics allow the people to rule the government through elected representatives.
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
Well I feel that making your own decisions and having the freedom to elect an official is better than a random person who is related to the prior leader is not a free choice and no one knows a good of a leader he/she will be.
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
Yay
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
Because in a republic, people have more freedom of electing their representatives as for in a monarchy, the king just passes on the crown based on heredity even if the heir to the throne is bad leaving the people with little to about no freedom.
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago

  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
Simple. If the monarchy is corrupted, the entire system is corrupted. A revolution is the only alternative open to us to change the government. A revolution means death, blood, and destruction. There is no peace in that route.
In a Republic, if a president is corrupted you can vote them out or impeach them without bloodshed. Term limits also help.

monarchies are out of date. The monarch now a days usually does not even exercise power. The are just ceremonial figureheads. Also a person should not be born into a position of power as in a monarchy. Monarchies are a waste of time and just a plain joke.
