It’s only natural that supporters of Jennifer Lopez continuously look for aspects that their idol will top Beyonce Knowles, and vice versa. Background
Jennifer Lopez was born to Puerto Rican parents in the Bronx, New York. Her education began attending catholic schools, after which she enrolled herself in dance schools while working for a living. She had few acting roles and worked as a backup dancer for many rap artists. Her tabloid career began with her status as Puff Daddy’s (Sean Combs) girlfriend and their subsequent high profile breakup in 2000.
Beyonce Knowles was born to a creole mother and an African American father in Houston, Texas. She discovered her singing and dancing potentials in her elementary school years. Beyonce met the would-be members of the now broken up girl group Destiny’s Child at the tender age of 8 years old.

Jennifer Lopez started making a name for herself in the music industry when she released her first album ‘On the 6’ in 1999 where many of her songs hit the top of the music charts. She then released more albums between 2002 and 2006. They were called ‘J to tha L-O!’, ‘This Is Me...Then’ and 'Rebirth’. These were followed by albums ‘Como Ama Una Mujer’, ‘Brave’, and her latest, ‘Love?’.
When Beyonce landed on a solo career after Destiny’s Child, she landed some acting stints and released a few singles and later released an album entitled ‘Dangerously in Love’. This was followed by ‘B-Day’, her second album. Her latest album is entitled ‘I Am…Sasha Fierce’ with hit singles ‘Single Ladies’ and ‘If I Were a Boy’.

Jennifer Lopez’ has acted in several TV series and movies since 1995, but her first really big break was in the movie ‘Selena’, where she joined the major leagues. This was followed by a string of romantic comedies she starred in such as ‘The Wedding Planner’, ‘Maid in Manhattan,’ and ‘Monster-in-law’. She also starred in thrillers like ‘BorderTown’, ‘Anaconda’ and ‘Enough’. Most recently she starred in 2010's 'the Backup Plan'.
One of Beyonce’s first major movie breaks was in the Austin Powers movie, ‘Goldmember’. She then starred in ‘Fighting Temptations’ with Cuba Gooding, Jr. her more recent movies include ‘Obsessed’ and ‘Dreamgirls’.Beyonce is slated to star an upcoming movie, 'A Star is Born', directed by Clint Eastwood.

Jennifer also had high profile relationship with Sean Combs. Later she married Cris Judd whom she divorced soon after. She was engaged to Ben Affleck but broke up before the wedding. She then married Marc Anthony in 2004 and has two children.
Beyonce has had a much publicized relationship with rapper Jay-Z, since 2002. She was married to the rapper in April 2008.
