Both well-known stars of the Bollywood industry have made their mark in the world of film. Compared to Shahid Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor is a newcomer but both have achieved fame due to recent films that they’ve starred in over the last fews years.
Shahid Kapoor is the son of actor Pankaj Kapoor and classical dancer Neelima Azeem. After his parents divorced, he lived with his father. He also enjoys good relations with his stepmother. Ranbir Kapoor is the son of actor Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh and is of Punjabi origin.
Both Ranbir and Shahid’s films have done well at the box office. Both are also known to be good dancers.

Shahid Kapoor started off his career in 1999 with advertisements and as a background dancer in the movie Taal.His debut film was Ishq Vishq in 2003, following which he acted in several films. Ranbir Kapoor worked as assistant director with Sanjay Leela Bhansali in the film Black. He then made his debut in Saawariya in November 2007 under the same director. Even though the film did not achieve much success, his acting was appreciated. His first successful movie happens to be Bachna Ae Haseeno opposite Deepika Padukone, Minisha Lamba and Bipasha Basu. Following that film, most of his films to date have been huge successes at the box office.

Both Ranbir and Shahid have broken up with their girlfriends in the recent past. Shahid and Kareena split after their successful film Jab we Met, which caused a lot of hue and cry amongst both media and fans alike. Ranbir’s relationship with Deepika Padukone lasted for a short period since their debut films in 2008 until after their film Bachna Ae Haseeno.
