Difference between Simon Cowell, Ellen Degeneres, Kara DioGuardi and Randy Jackson
Music is something that is part of our daily lives and it affects us more than we know. Whether you are in a low or happy mood, there are always a couple of songs that get you going into an upbeat. Most of us can find a song on the radio or on our iPod that gives us a shot of momentum or changes our mood to just the way we like it.
Singing Talent
The power of music can do wonders on an individual's soul and hence the music industry is a much more serious business than one would think. Looking for singing talent that can connect to many of us is such a tricky task. Successful singers must possess skills aside from singing such as the ability to realize the drive and ambition to perform. They must be able to capture the hearts of millions and thus to help with that, American Idol was accepted and supported by the public in a big way.
Judging contestants has something to do with the judges themselves. I think it's only fair we know a little more about them.
Simon
Simon Cowell was born on October 7, 1959 in East Sussex, England. He found success as a music executive and a television producer. American Idol is the creation of Simon Cowell. Simon Cowell may be the favorite amongst all the judges. His honesty and piercing commentary has brought him acceptance and criticism by many household viewers and live audiences alike. The other judges are great, but Simon's personality is just so intriguing and his judgments seem to have that ring of truth that fans watching the show are pulled into what he has to say. Fans count on knowing that he will always voice his true opinion.
Randy
Randy Jackson was born on June 23, 1956 at Louisiana. He is the oldest of the judges and like Kara, he is a record producer who sings as well and plays the bass guitar. Randy Jackson is considered be the most "high maintenance" among the three judges according to "Newsweek" magazine. However, he remains unaffected by the show and his newly found fame and somehow ensures show viewers that his disposition will never be compromised. Randy's personality tends to be describes as more of a 'go with the flow' kind of a guy. He is calm and laid back and always relaxed which are always good qualities in a judge. You can see how laid back he is when he calls contestants out as 'Dawg'. Randy gives the impression that he treats each contestant as he would a major star.
Kara
Kara DioGuardi was born on December 9, 1970 in New York and is the youngest of all the judges. She is a singer and songwriter at the same time, plus she is also a record producer and a music publisher. Kara DioGuardi is a judge that really focuses on the performance and the quality of the song they sing. She herself has made a huge names like Ricky Martin appear on the big stage and gives the distinct impression to fans of the show that she knows which songs are of good quality and which are not. Kara DiouGuardi is very critical of the performances and expresses herself as a sort of female Simon figure. She has produced a lot of talent out there and if the singers get the 'go' signal with their performance, that's something worth noting.
Ellen
Ellen Degeneres is someone that I'm sure everyone is very familiar with. She was born on January 26, 1958, in Louisiana. She performed various standup comedy acts, had her own television series and is famous for her talk show 'Ellen'. Ellen Degeneres is the newest of the four and started out as a guest judge. Ellen Degeneres seemingly replaced former American Idol Judge Paula Abdul. Ellen is loved by TV audiences for her quirky humor, sense of timing, compassion and words of encouragement. Where Paula stroked the egos of the contestants, Ellen puts them at ease.
