Difference between Delta and American Airlines

When you need to travel many miles whether on business or for leisure, there are several things you should bear in mind and your safety should not be the least among your concerns. Sometimes you may be willing to spend more on an airline if you believe it guarantees that you will get to your destination with minimal risks or inconveniences. There are so many airline providers around and among them are Delta Airlines and American Airlines. The question is which can guarantee your safety and comfort? These factors are important when you have to travel for hours to get to your destination hundreds or thousands of miles away.

Features

Aside from the usual booking facilities, Delta Airlines provides its customers with other perks and attractive deals that make flying an absolute pleasure. These include vacation packages, no direct ticket fees, no online booking charges and Sky Miles travel offers which allow you to earn bonus miles for trip just to name a few. Delta Airlines aircraft include Business Elite, First Class and Economy Class sections equipped with Wi-Fi access and other forms of entertainment to use during your trip.

American Airlines aims to provide its passengers with no less than a wonderful experience. Its aircraft have three cabins – the First Class Cabin, the Business Class Cabin and the Coach Cabin, each uniquely designed while considering one’s utmost comfort. The storage bins overhead are large enough to store your belongings; furthermore, the aircraft now have more power ports for your mobile gadgets. American Airlines also offers several special offers, like a wide range of vacation packages, Fly Now Payment Plan, Dollar-Rent-A-Car, and so on.

Destinations

Delta Airlines can take you to as many as 900 destinations around the world. What’s more, the company website comes with interactive maps that can be used with ease. Simply click on the city of your choice or fill in the point of origin and your intended destination to check flight schedules and rates.

American Airlines, on the other hand, flies to 250 cities across 40 countries. It also has an interactive legend and map that you can view some relevant information with just a few mouse clicks.

Online Booking, Etc.

Both airlines guarantee affordable packages and cheap rates; unfortunately for both, customer service and promptness are not their strongest points. Nonetheless, it gives one enough comfort to know that booking with either airlines can be easily done through their official websites.

Both Delta Airlines’s and American Airlines’ websites are intuitive that navigating your way in and out can be done with ease. You can easily book your flight, view flight schedules, plan a holiday trip, check flight status and receive updates, and get travel tips without any trouble at all.

Summary

So would it be Delta or American Airlines? Ultimately, your decision would depend on the following factors:

There is no 1st class on either airline. Delta has Business Elite which is basically 1st class.
