Splinter Cell has boring characters and story and the gameplay's too restrictive, it's all about trial and error. Metal Gear's far beyond it

more variety, fun boss fights, and I like the characters more
I chose Metal Gear because, when I played the first Metal Gear Solid for PSX it just blew me away. I was awe struck at how cinematic it was and the voice acting was incredible (for a video game). When I played the first Splinter Cell game I was just like "Meh." It couldn't even TOUCH Metal Gear IMO.
