The pharmaceutical rap Goes to the doctor And introduces new medications And what Their for. The doctor trust what he's told by the rep. The doctor prescribes the medicine it is hit or miss. That's why it's called practicing medicine. The pharmacist can explain the chemical components and tell you if it can be taken with other drugs and can explain what the new drug is expected to do.

Pharmacists are trained professionals. They study Pharmacy, Pharmacology, they know about the mode of action of a particular drug, its metabolism and physiological effects on the human body along with information on interactions with other medication or foods/alcohol. They are specialists in medication. Doctors study medicine-diagnosing and treating disease, obviously they have knowledge of medication BUT it isn't their speciality so a Pharmacist is better placed to answer medication related queries.

because the word pharmacist is from pharma which means medicine, then logically pharmacist must the export one in medicine.pharmcy means to study medicines from different sides dosage form desigen (pharmaceutics),preparation and extraction of medicine and drugs from plants and other sources(pharmacognosy),medicine or drugs absorption,,distribution, metabolism and execretion.thendrug resptor interaction adverse drugs effect and drug drug intereaction, drug food interaction, countraindication.(pharmacology),then dosage calculation or tailoring of the dose(pharmacokinitic)etc.so there is no comperasone between pharmacist and doctor in term of medicines or drugs, pharmacist is the only export in medicins and drugs and it is not only as mentioned to follow instructions given by the doctor as mentioned above.
