Combination seems to be used loosely in normal communication. As offered in this article a combination lock is an in-accurate name as 5-24-13 is the same combination as 24-5-13 yet the lock will only open using the first order given. So basically the lock opens only when the correct permutation of that particular combination of numbers is given. Thanks your break down of the two different concepts very helpful!
