It is harder to control setbacks with Bipolar Disorder. With the right support, medication and, therapy setbacks or relapse with Schizophrenia will usually pass with no harm done. Once it passes the patient usually will be able to return to normal daily activities. Patients with Bipolar Disorder take longer to recover because of Manic Episodes. Patients with Schizophrenia will normally only be put on one medication and patients with Bipolar Disorder usually need to be put on two or more medications.

THE MOOD CHANGES AND SWINGS MAKE COMPLIANCE MORE DIFFICULT, ALTHOUGH, THE SCHIZOPHRENIA ALSO HAS PROBLEMS WITH COMPLIANCE. ONCE UNDER CONTROL, THE SCHIZOPHRENIA CLIENT MAY HAVE LESS PSYCHOSIS ONCE ON THE ANTIPSYCHOTICS. THE BIPOLAR CLIENT IS ALSO HARDER TO DIAGNOSE
