Obviously telugu, the trouble with tamil is, when you observe tamil speaking people they sound shouting always rather than speaking, might be because they brush with sambar, they bath with sambar, they drink sambar, and eat sambar... since they eat sambar they are also called "Sambaroos" like "kangaroos". Finally it result in making their tongue very think cant speak fluently and beautifully. And which is completely opposite to telugus.

They are both related. Mother in Telugu and Tamil is Amma. Father in Telugu and Tamil is Appa. They have dialects from one another. They are plenty of words were they mean the same in both languages. The way they say the numbers are the same.

Because if anyone stays in TamilNadu for a month, he starts speaking Tamil fluently. That is the specialty of Tamil and why many people in the World speak this language. - Self Experience

The grammar and usage is difficult to learn. But once you learn Telugu u can survive in Andhra Prades ,karnataka and Tamil Nadu because Teluu is the largest spoken language in south india and third largely spoken language in india after Hindi and bengali.Furthur the script of Karnataka is much similar to that of Telugu
