I like the actors that play the characters have a better description of the way the characters are.

There are many stories told throughout the series. It's a show that I personally can't continue to watch year round and still enjoy where as the UK version is much "drier" in a sense and less going on. Both are great

Because it's funnier

I just laugh at Dwight and Jim's pranking between each other and I thought the US version portrayed it best.

Just recently streamed all the UK Office episodes. Great series, but a bit "too British" for American tastes.

Steve Carrell is less annoying than Rick Gervais

The characters are more developed and interesting. The humor is more u iversal and less dependent on cultural referenced. Also secondary characters provide mor e richness than the British version.

The more realistic tone is my ch funnier than the over-the-top stunts in the American version

It's British so a little less censored. And Ricky Gervais and Martin Freeman are brilliant.

UK had a heart and character...US was a bit cliche and glam. And I am an American!

Carrell is good, Gervais is brilliant. The US is funny, The UK is hilarious. The secondary characters in the US are better than the ones in the UK but the US is too long and it sometimes gets too dramatic.

It's just funnier. Maybe because I am american so I hear terms that I wouldn't normally even though I can deduce what they mean most of the time.

no contest. The UK one is as close to perfect as you are going to get. The US office is funny but not in the same league.
