I PERFER TO PAY A LITTLE EXTRA TO GET THE BEST OF THE CRUISE.
Disney has activities for kids like the aquadunk and areas for adults
disney is all about family. plus kids are likely to want to cruise with them and see their fav characters come to life!
I have taken a Disney Cruise on the Dream. First one. It will be hard to step down but keeping an open mind.
i love disney crusies the other crusies make you sick from what i have heard becasue of there food im going on one in 2015 this is going to be my thrid disney crusie so far
Mainly because Disney is more kid-friendly and I do not think parents want their kids around a drinking environment liked mention in the Carnival Cruise.

From my experience, not all, but a large majority of the passengers we saw on our Carnival cruise acted and appeared
"trashy". I.E. Men covered with tattoos and body piercings, wearing their cowboy hats, cigarette hanging out of their mouth and buckets of beer in hand....scantily clad women gyrating like pole dancers to music being blasted on the Lido deck, guys dancing on top of tables; Young men with their pants hanging down to their thighs and caps on sideways...drunks hogging the swimming pools and hot tubs, cussing really loud and getting into fights. To top it off, we had to listen to Rap, Hip-Hop, country and 1970s rock (like AC/DC) being blasted ALL THE TIME.....even in the buffet area. The first thing we heard, as we boarded the ship, was "we're on a highway to ****" by AC/DC...Really?!? That's the type of music you're going to play?!? I'm SO thankful we at least found a quiet "adults only" pool (which didn't enforce that policy btw) but at least they played no music. Here's the thing....if your idea of "relaxing" is getting your adrenaline pumping, getting drunk and making a fool of yourself, cussing loudly and acting like a ****, then Carnival is the right ship for you. However, if you prefer to RELAX and unwind on your cruise and listen to live steel drum music and other island music and don't want to be around wild, drunken people with no class, then I highly suggest you go on any other cruise line but Carnival. Some of the 13 and 14 year old girls in our group (who look their age) were propositioned by men in the mid thirties and early forties....gross! I know there are weirdos on any cruise line, but it's WAY more obvious on Carnival. Unfortunately, you get what you pay for and the only reason we went on Carnival this time is because someone else in our group made the reservations. If it were my choice, I would have chosen Disney or Royal Caribbean. If you want to unwind and not being bombarded with trashiness, don't go on Carnival...period.
i recently went on a disney cruise. at nassau, we were next to a carnival ship. 9:00am: food on table. 4:00 pm: food still there. i could also smell the ciggarette smoke. coldnt wait to leave to go on my balcony without vomiting again!
Higher quality that is worth the extra cost; as well as the nostalgic disney magic!
Disney pampers you from the minute you are picked up in their motor coach! We travelled out of the country and passing thru customs was a breeze - Disney escorted you to a private room with the kids entertained with Mickey cartoons and then a Disney rep arrived TO YOU to take your information for processing. When you stepped on the ship to enter into the main room, horns were blown as your family name was announced! Disney is worth every penny. Can you compare a Mercedes with a Toyota Pruis? If not, there is no comparison of Disney vs Carnival.
