efficiency and mileage needs to be addressed mor fully
The dollar talks. It costs more to produce and ship ethanol than regular gasoline.

Heat energy per unit of gasoline is more than Ethanol.Engine parts damage will also be less.
I choose Gasoline. Why? Ethanol is cleaner burning. But, the ethanol makes engines use more fuel to run. So, using gasoline with ethanol in an engine pollutes just as much. Also, the primary source for ethanol in the United States and Canada is corn. So using ethanol as fuel contributes to higher fodd prices. Gasoline is good on an engine.
Food costs are driven up.
Small engines run better and need less repairs.
Better mileage, actually cost a little less per tank.
To produce the amount of ethanol in one gallon of gas we use 1.5 gallons of gasoline. Also,Ethanol uses corn. 925 million people in the world are suffering from world hunger yet we use the excess and tons of corn for ethanol so we think we are saving a little money.By using ethanol your car has to be refueled more often actually costing you money.
I'm loosing 27% fuel mileage on Ethanol in all 3 of my vehicles. V6 Astrovan, Chevy Corsica, GoldWing 1500. It's cost more to produce this garbage than Gasoline, I don't understand why we're being forced to spend nearly double (grand total costs) on ethanol.
With this 27% loss, it's the e same amount of environmental impact as regular Gas. There is no gain, we're spending more than we need to.
The real question is, "Who is benefiting (monetarily wise) from this?"

Question about item six above..."addictive"? didn't you mean additive?
Also, include that: 1)ethanol causes many existing two and four cycle engine fuel components to deteriorate. 2) Alcohol spewed into the atmosphere is also suspected of creating other environmental problems maybe not carbon but some that cause health issues.

Most stations charge $0.05-$0.07 more 1-2%. E-10 gete 3-5% poorer gas mileage. So you are well ahead of the game with gasoline
