This was caused by a complete disregard of basic saftey policies and broken and/or damaged equipment. Pure and simple negligence and there was no plan in place for 'what if'.

It occured in a much more bio-diverse area of the earth so had a larger impact of the wildife in the region

BP Oil Spill has covered and destroyed alot more than Exxon Valdez. Plus, they didn't have the correct equipment for its rig to prevent a disaster. BP was thinking about their business and not the environment nor the people that would be affected by such a disaster.

From the 3rd day, I calculated based on internet data on estimated oil & gas reservoir of the BP well, that it has enough force to create 1 Exxon Valez every 28 hours. BP has only 'fessed up to 1 Exxon Valdez every 4 days.
