GoToMyPC works from anywhere. RDP requires you to be on the LAN. LogMeIn is clunky
User friendly, no firewall issues, only downside is pricing, but worth it for use at work and abroad.
too much speed trouble with LogMeIn and I never use Remote Desktop through Internet only on local network.
Ease of use. Better system response
Good security and it works.
Remote Desktop - 5
Free
Secure, built into business operating systems and very easy to share printers, folders and documents
ease of use
It has worked great for years, but I am looking at the other 2 as I went cheap on Windows 7 and home premium doesn't have it.
It's ubiquitous. No need to install anything.
LogMeIn - 9
Random
its free.
I use it
Primarily for the added layer of security over opening router ports directly to my PC. Logmein over gotomypc because it has a feature that notifies an interactive user on the host machine to allow or deny an incoming connection request. I prefer this over forcibly taking control and interrupting a user at the console.

you dot now logme in
Just becasuse

It's free vs. pay. It uses 256-bit AES vs. 128-bit AES (although 128-bit is safe, why not use higher bit strength if available to be "safer"?). It's free.
