I don't really see the need for the large focus on music in Bollywood I feel Hollywood has a good balance of music.I also like how big the productions are in Hollywood it's really and experiences. I feel the larger budgets just gives directors more freedom to create. Hollywood also is just so diverse in its selections.
In my opinion hollywood is better it produces films that present real life situations rather than sheltering the younger audiences from more provocative or intense scenes.

Basically Hollywood nis the best because even these Bollywood stars come all the way from India to L.A for a chance to make it big. Now you see if Bollywood was as big as Hollywood wouldn't some of our stars go to India to try to make it big there. Also whenever you see a Bollywood movie its always about heartbreaks and singing and dancing. Meanwhile if Hollywood is going to do a thriller movie we stick to that which means no dancing in between running for your life meanwhile Bollywood is all over the place.

the purpose of watching a movie is as mentioned- nothing but entertainment which, is served by both . But unnecessary music/songs increases the duration of the film specially where it is not even required, which deviates the audience from the story line and also increases the duration and ofcourse the budget . apart, most of the commercials are melodramas which leaves nothing for the audience to imagine as a result of which , often it's observed that more than 40% of the audience walks out of the halls before the curtain drops unless the direction is really taut,whereas the standard of the actors/actresses of Bollywood is nothing less . these makes the Hollywood movies more pragmatic compared to the Bollywood.

Bollywood movies i would say never are any of these things. I think indian actors aren't given the real opportunity to show there talent, due to the Indian's love for musical, romantic, fun movies. After being well versed in Hollywood, and having watched several Bollywood movies. I think Indian movies are changing....but i doubt it will ever reach the depth of most Hollywood movies that are considered very good.
