Difference between Bangalore and Hyderabad
India has become one of the most renowned IT hubs in the world. Two of India’s major cities, Hyderabad and Bangalore, have made a name for themselves based largely on their IT companies’ presence. Today, India has emerged as one of the most promising IT export countries. It exports software services are distinct from making a mark in the realm of call centers. Hyderabad is home to Infosys, the brainchild of Narayan Murthy whereas both Banglore and Hyderabad host Accenture.
Population
Bangalore is the third most populated city in India and is the capital of Karnataka. It had a population of 5.8 million per the 2001 census.
Hyderabad is also quite densely populated but its population is around 4 million. Hyderabad is the capital of Andhra Pradesh and is the most populated city of Andhra Pradesh.
Entertainment
Hyderabad is home to the Telugu film industry whereas Bangalore boasts the Kannada film industry. The Telugu film industry is also called Tollywood and comes second after the largest Mumbai film industry known as Bollywood. Telugu and Kannada are regionally spoken languages in India. Bangalore also is the most rapidly growing metropolis in India whereas Hyderabad only acquires this status of a metropolis together with its nearby suburb of Secunderabad. In fact, both the cities constitute Hyderabad.
Technology
Bangalore has a higher concentration of IT companies in its midst. For this reason it is called the Silicon Valley of India. Hyderabad on the other hand has not been able to establish itself as a big hub for IT industries in comparison to Bangalore, the biggest IT exporter in India.
Bangalore was established in 1024 BC when it was annexed by Cholas. But modern Bangalore came into origin in 1537. The city of Hyderabad is relatively younger as it was founded in 1592.
Culture
Hyderabad has a rich cultural legacy of its own. It’s known as the city of Nizams. Bangalore does not have any such legacy.
Literacy rates
Bangalore has higher literacy rates as compared to Hyderabad. It has the second highest literacy rate in India after the city of Mumbai.
