Naturalism focuses more on the real world issues of today, that have yet to be resloved. A naturalist will present the issues at hand to a society an hope for moral equity, while a realist may struggle emotionally but the burden can be subsided because they so often have the means to pay their way out of things.

I just find more involved in naturalistic story scenarios and can better visualize and identify with characters, whether they are like or unlike me
