There is no comparison between the two. In 1905 Einstein wrote three papers: special relativity, Brownian motion, and the photoelectric effect. The relativity work is by far the greatest of the three. He received the Novel Prize in 1921 and in 1914 had formulated 'general relativity', the explanation of gravity as curvature in space-time. He went on in 1936 to forumlate the idea of wormholes in space time, and in 1939 came the Einstein-Podolsy-Rosen paper, which laid the basis for quantum teleportation (verified experimentally in Innsbruck in the late 1990s). Tesla was an inventor who competed with Edison.

I did not hear about tesla until I was out of school and doing my own research.
Einstein's accomplishments and fame make him a much more likely to be discussed in classrooms. Tesla, despite his monumental work in AC and in radar, radio, and robotics, is often forgotten due to his later years when he thought that he could talk to life on Mars.
