The plan is still tied to the physical phone line rather than being WIFI-based. This is one reason why I just changed from longtime provider Pro1 to ADT. More is offered with ADT, price is about the same...and my garage now had an alarm. Pro1 would charge extra for a garage. Also, when Pro1 was deactivated by ADT to install their equipment, to-date, I have yet to receive a call, email, or security vist from Police that the line is down!? The military, White House, and several Fortune 500 companies use ADT. It MUST do what it says! My next door neighbor had it and I've seen response time in less than 10-15 minutes! She was called and so was security/police! BTW, the contral panel talks to us to let us know which access point had been breached or opened. For now, at least, GLAD I SWITCHED!
