Used both of similar power, the i7 is slower for most processes and seems sluggish compared to the Zeon.

According to research the xeon has much more raw proccesing power. It has much higher intercore bandwith, and is much better overall than the i7. With a dual chip configuration it becomes the ultimate gaming machine. Most of theese improvements also take place in parts of the proccesor that are heavily used in gaming.
