Intelligence requires less maintance than those who are trying so hard to achieve.
Smart because even if your intelligent and you are not able to apply it, it is exactly stated above that intelligence is capable of learning, understanding, using reason, with new situations around them
i will give you an example, your in a room (with a big space) = this is the intelligence.
And you are equip with such tools to use inside your room = this is smart
Smartness involves higher cognitive functioning. It involves more processing of information, analysis, relating and finding patterns in knowledge.
I would see intelligence as more of an ability to learn or memorise something, but less interactive in how that information is used.

smart is something a person learned as he goes thru life, it is not something inherent.
Because everyone has intelligence but is much harder to learn to be smart
Intelligent is knowing and/or holding facts...
Smart is the appilication of those intelligent facts that have a benefit attached to them...
Because in a nutshell, smart involves being clever as well. Whereas, intelligence is just the ability to learn and understand.

Because it included intelligence. Intelligence, from reading above, is the receiving of information and the capacity to understand the information received where as smart is the applying of the received information which involves capacity to analyze and apply the information received.
Smart is doing. Intelligent has capacity to do.
Smart is the ability to apply intelligence in a practical way.
I would rather be a quick thinker and be able to choose my decisions wisely than to only be extremely intelligent.
Because being smart means one has used its inherent intelligence to learn. One can be intelligent, but not smart. But one can't be smart without intelligence.
To be smart one must go beyond just being intelligent; we must use our senses as well as our life experience for the myriad situations we encounter in day to day life .
