Intelligence requires less maintance than those who are trying so hard to achieve.

Smart because even if your intelligent and you are not able to apply it, it is exactly stated above that intelligence is capable of learning, understanding, using reason, with new situations around them

i will give you an example, your in a room (with a big space) = this is the intelligence.

And you are equip with such tools to use inside your room = this is smart

Smartness involves higher cognitive functioning. It involves more processing of information, analysis, relating and finding patterns in knowledge.

I would see intelligence as more of an ability to learn or memorise something, but less interactive in how that information is used.

intelligent is a higher compliment than smart. it says that a person has a higher level of thought, reasoning, problem solving, and ability to learn. Like IQ tests. They can learn high level math, physics, reading, etc.
