There is no gaurantee that a commercial business is made up of a profession.

By definition, .org is for non-profit and often has volunteer workers that has no conection to a profession.

The people maintaining the network infrastructure would usually be professional grade people, such as software developers and have a technical background.

Org for organization seems less buisness or comercial than com. Also net sounds so high tech and cold. Because most of the users of org are much more of a world presence than just the internet.. we are conditioned to think more highly of domains that end in org. Com.. sounds greedy and sales oriented.. net sounds like the Greek squad.. org sounds like the Red Cross, the Church, the United Way, the Girlscouts... well you get the idea..

Many of the really interesting sites I've ever read were dot orgs. It seems many of these are gone now. It seems like the mistakes I made in the early days of my internet experience. This was in 1999. I had a store bought brand new Windows Millennium edition with CompuServe dial up installed on it (and perhaps a very selective subversion hack)installed on it with a 3 year contract to pay for CompuServe dial up. Maybe this triggered the interesting-ness of my errors, now it is interactive but even more overwhelming and as millions of unorganized questions like this one you have explained, tumble out of my head -I fantasize about a private tutor with unlimited time and patience and a couple of Linux something or others and a concise quick rout of getting from a-z I guess I would look in the .orgs for this unless it was part of a sweepstake prize?
