I love them both and my answer would have been different 20 years ago. It is just the more I listen to the Stones, the more I hear just how great they really are.

They embody rock and roll. They are also romantics of the first order.

The Rolling Stones didn't let egos get in the way of making great rocking music. I mean they have egos but in the end they could work together violently sometimes and still work on their own stuff. Then get back together to rock. I guess the difference from a "blues" based band instead of a "rock" based band as with the Beatles.
