Havev been drinking Starbucks for years, and I do not see myself, "just checking it out."
That's a joke right? Why are you even asking!
First, I am an employee and the quality of work and ambiance in general is just much better than dunkin donuts. Dunkin donuts does not seem to put much stock in what they look like as a building.
I selected starbucks because dunkin has artificial flavors
because they have more choice

The coffee is waaaay better and I always get what I ordered. I went to the same Dunkin’ every workday morning for a year. I always ordered an iced French vanilla coffee and every day I had to explain to the same girl (usually) that I wanted the sugar melted. (Melt the sugar with a splash of hot coffee then put the iced in). Every day I got the blank stare of confusion. I figure it works out to be about 200 times. Argghhh!!! This is not the only one, either. I’ve gone with friends to other locations (because THEY wanted to go) and they’ve screwed up all the orders.
The donuts aren’t what they used to be, the “fresh” egg sandwiches are microwaved, and the bagels, well, they SUCK!
Oh! I forgot to mention, when you ask for one sugar, you have to keep in mind that it is a heaping serving spoon size. Probably equivalent to 1/4 cup.
In my opinion I’d rather spend a few cents more for great service with a smile, an excellent cup of coffee and food that won’t get me one step closer to diabetes.
Starbucks coffee is flavorful and bold. Dunkin’s is like yesterday’s dish water.

Tastes stronger
I enjoy the coffee and the rewards program. Overall, I also like the ethics and sustainability that Starbucks is committed too. I would rather pay more for the coffee, which I believe tastes better than Dunkin, knowing that people are treated fairly and equitably. Also, with the carbon emissions and other programs that Starbucks offers it is looking ahead to the future not just focused on today. Starbucks is a great global partner. I know no matter where I go in the world if there is a Starbucks the quality and the service will be the same. And they will call me by my name with a smile in their voice.
It just taste better.
