Difference between Carbonated Water, Regular Water and Mineral Water

Water covers 71% of the earth’s surface, therefore many people have direct access to water resources. From ancient times humans have recognized the necessity gaining access to fresh, clean drinking water. Although our body contains up to 75% water, we need to replenish our bodies with fresh water to re-hydrate and regenerate ourselves as well as to continue the process of cleaning every corner of our bodies. Water also includes essential minerals for our body’s development. Daily water drinking as opposed to coffee, tea, juice or sodas is greatly encouraged for a healthier body. Carbonated water can be obtained through addition of carbon dioxide gas. It creates the effect of bubbly water commonly called sparkling, seltzer, soda or fizz water. It’s water in its natural state. Mineral water contains minerals and can be extracted from mineral springs in different regions of the world.

Carbonated water consumption has a positive effect on the human body because of the amount of minerals and sodium it contains. Studies have shown that carbonated water can help to fight heart diseases. Drinking regular water is advisable for people of all ages. It helps to hydrate and strengthen our immune system. Carbonated water is cheap and can be bought from local stores. It’s usually bottled in 0, 50 to 2 liters capacity. To fully enjoy the carbon effect it should be consumed in a short time. Fizz goes away if you open the bottle too many times. It costs less if you prepare it at home. Regular water can be found bottled or it can be drunk from clear mountain springs or from wells spread in the countryside. Mineral water has different ranges of price according to extraction methods and how well known a spring might be for its beneficial effects. Some brands are already established on the market as more expensive ones due to the fame accumulated through time. Regular water is cheap where it’s abundant, but may prove a valuable commodity where there aren't so many water resources. Local water sources are either provided for a fee by your local city municipality or via privatized water companies. Watch for notices that come with your water bill which detail chemical composition breakdowns. Some areas regularly surpass safety levels of industrial and other harmful chemicals and should not be consumed by children and pregnant women. Even so, local and federal governments will state that water safety is not an issue and that consumption is generally safe. Educate yourself!
