The Navy has a larger marine fleet. Currently, the USCG has only about 40,000 active duty personnel and is under the dept. of Homeland Security, it has always been the smallest service.
The USCG hasn't grown appreciably since I was in from 1967 to 1971.
Its bigger
I am in the Navy.
research
I currently serve in the U.S Navy
the navy has personnel and has fleets all over the world while the coast guard is primarily in the united states
10x more people
The navy is larger and concerned with world protection, not just the United States.
they have more ships
Because they have a lot more people than the cost ghosts. The cost guard is a very small group composed to the navy.
I selected this option, because the Navy is bigger than the Coast Guard.
Because the Coast Guard is full of pussies!
The Navy has an extensive variety of vessels currently in use and is always exploring alternatives to enhance the technology in use.
Because they have a laregr personnel and more ships, boats than the coast guard.
Seriously?
the navy is world wide
You would need a few more ships in the Navy with a couple hundred thousand more personnel
because they have more water to cover in a matter of peace and security of the world
coast guard is the smallest branch in military service
I have done the research.
Due to the Navy's larger size and more damanding mission as a military force, the Navy has much greater resources then the Coast Guard.
obvious
Cause its the true.
it is clearly the Navy because as stated in the article above the coast guard is smaller.
also I tried to get in the only reason I didn't was because I got a 68 on the ASVAB and they want a 70 so when I talked to a navy recruiter the coast guard called me and said that I don't have to retake the test but by then I had already set up a date for the physical with the navy
in short the coast guard lies. why put me through that, deny me, then tell me im eligible?
bmnbmnbmnbm,
Because my Daddy is a U.S Navy!!!! :-) Luv U Daddy!!
Because the navy has a larger variety of full-time personnel available at all times
Coast gaurd is so small no where near as many people enlisted
idk
Because the Navy is bigger and has a larger budget; and the fact that their job is to provide power from the seas.
navy is beast
a guess
more powerfull
im in the coast guard
because I'm not retarded.
because the question asked which one has a larger marine fleet.
I'm a Coast Guard veteran. We're fully aware of the age and size of our fleet. One correction, the Coast Guard was transfered to the Dept. of Homeland Security in 2003.
Also, might be fair to mention that the U.S. Navy was disbanded in the 1780s.
Harder for the CG to have a larger fleet is the total number of service members is only 36,000, versus the Navy's 378,000. Unless the CGs were all in 1-man dingies and the Navy's were all on (now extinct) Battleships...
because they are bigger
i'm in the coast guard
because
The navy has many fleets. Also in the essay comparison above it says the Coast Guard is the smallest military branch.
Dept. of Defense vs. Dept. of Transportation
