It all depends on the driver you can drive at a lower gear and higher rpms with stick versus automatic where your stuck with what the car thinks should do.

the do it your self transmission is allways the way to go, you have control of your car as opposed to the automatic which is tuned by a computer rather than emotions and instinct.
You can work with the rpms, if its feel slow you can choose to chango for a lower speed. It's more efficiently on gas, if your battery or the starter fail just pushing the car its enough to make it work. There is a lo or features for the stick shift.

because stuck shift cars are freaking awesome. and people who are narrow minded and LAZY and think that automatic cars are the best thing that ever happened, thats too bad for them, because they're missing out on so much fun.
A racecar is almost never found with an automatic transmission because not only does it not last as long but it also cannot be accelerated as quickly as a stick shift. This is because with a stick shift you can choose how quickly you want to accelerate and how much you want to be thrown into the seat.
