Its focused heavily on the love story rather than what was happening.
Because Jack frees Rose from every sort of "prison" she is in, not just saving the world and tribe as in the case of Jake and Neytiri. Love both movies though!

i had this choice because the titanic happenede for real and avatar did not.
I was afraid this was going to ask "which was better" which would have been a really tough call. But it asked which has a better love story, which makes it easy.

well avatar was a forrbidin love story too( exept i thik nytiris mother handeld it much better then roses mom would have)but titanic was aclassic story of undying love and avatar couldent hafe that kind of affect i mean both main female charecter where giving up a lot rose a life of luxery natiry the next interpiter for eywa but its the fact that jack and rose are human and we can relate to our fellow human beaing more then alians
The likeness of them staying together was "Against all odds" and they were both willing to die for each other.

I've chosen Titanic because of it's wonderful romantic story between Kate Winslet as Rose and Leonardo Di Caprio as Jack. Another one was the tradegic experience happened on that passenger ship when it collides on an iceberg. Thousands of people died and few did survived.
Its was so cute<3 And romantic, there was scenes where is was just quiet and you could sense the love story :]

Their love for each other freed Rose and enabled her to grow. Although Jack died, he indeed lived on in her heart and mind and she accomplished many things in her life. The love story had depth and each time you view it, you see something else. It was multi-dimensional.

Titanic is more based on the romance between Jack and Rose. It's a romance. Avatar has a nice love story but there's more to it than the love story.
The love story in Titanic is more developped, you get much more emotionally involved in it.
