CAT Scan - 4
Because it give the most detail even with the drawbacks.
It can detect lung cancer but x-ray only works after it's too late.
faster, less expensive, more useful after accidents. MRI is often used for detailed followup to cat scans.
more detailed than xray and cheaper than mri
MRI Scan - 15
Less radiation involved
=Pound wise penny foolish!
It is an all-in-one system. Yes, an MRI is more expensive but for more complex issues i believe the doctor should have a choice of the need for a MRI. Instead the insurance companies dictate that a CT must be done prior to an MRI. Ultimately, 50% of the time the CT is going to come back clear and an MRI will be required. Our the CT reveals something but a MRI is needed for a more in depth diagnoses. So yes a CT scan can be as little as half the cost of a MRI but if 50% of the time a MRI is required now there are compounded costs. The difference between costs of doing an MRI overall would be minimal.
Safest out of all. They all have their use but I think MRI is the most dynamic out of the three.
More detailed view of the soft tissue
.
BECAUSE IT HAS NO IONIZING RADIATION USED.
It is less dangerous. It looks at soft tissues which make up a greater percentage of our physical structure. It is helpful in detecting more chronic problems of the tissues and even some skeletal structures. (they found more arthritis and arthritic damage on my MRI than either of the others.)
Because I have fun in them.
not as harmful to the body
cause
gives more detail
because it has longer waiting list and cost more and only if you have serious concern doctors will priscribe
the other scan use raditation
X-ray, C.T.Scan and MRI has its on utility in Medical imaging. considering the superior image quality, multi planner image acquisition, soft tissue details and a non-ionizing imaging technique MRI is more useful. Rajesh Kesavan
X-ray - 1
it is inexpensive
