Precautions
Biaxin is not recommended for use if you are already taking cisapride, pimozide, or Ergot-based medications such as ergotamine or dihydroergotamine. Taking Biaxin with these drugs can cause a disruption in the heart rhythms, which can potentially be fatal. Biaxin is not an effective remedy for viral infections.
Augmentin is not recommended for use by people who are allergic to amoxicillin or clavulanate potassium, or those with liver problems caused by similar medication. Augmentin should also not be used along with penicillin-based drugs such as ampicillin, carbenicillin, dicloxacillin, oxacillin, penicillin and many others.Before going on an Augmentin regimen, you should inform your doctor of a previous history of liver disease, hepatitis, jaundice, kidney disease, or mononucleosis.
