There is much more room for ironic humor in realism. Slightly less dependence on "statistics" as part of the story. Room for romance. Third party narration is easier, it can include "value judgments"

Naturalism and naturalists put a little more into their stories than with realism. For example, Katherine O'Flahrtey, Kate Chopin, who was both a natuaralist and realist shows this in works such as "The Story of and Hour" and The Awakening. Naturalism pits the characters against some greater force such as society.

Naturalism focuses more on the real world issues of today, that have yet to be resloved. A naturalist will present the issues at hand to a society an hope for moral equity, while a realist may struggle emotionally but the burden can be subsided because they so often have the means to pay their way out of things.
