anorexics have a distorted image of themselves...therefore they don't eat because they perceive themselves as being overweight.
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
It has one of the highest rates of mortality. The person literally wastes away until the body no longer has the ability to function.
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
you receive no nutrients at all because of the starvation. with bulimia and binge eating the food at least enters the body if for a short period of time
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
People who are anorexic starve themselves and die.

Your body thins excessively and it breaks down healthy nutrients in your body. It's hard to restore that because you don't have enough nutrients and vitamins in your body to fight off diseases, illnesses, and such. Your body will then start to literally eat your body alive because your body is starving. Then it's hard to recover from Anorexia because your body isn't adapted to eating food anymore. You're putting foreign food into your body so your body rejects it, leading you to vomit.

the reason I sad Anorexia is because people who suffers from Anorexia tend to hardly eat anything and if the do they right away purge. This is because people who are suffering form anorexia have an intense fear of gaining weight, they want to maintain the "thin ideal body" that it refer to the propaganda that media has demonstrated on how every woman should look like.
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
because the person is really fragile
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
because an "anna girl/boy" have a fear of eating and gaining weight, so when they go for a semi-long period of time without food they become very week and fragile.

The physical effects of Anorexia Nervosa are known to be EXTREMELY severe and detrimental. However, all three are extremely damaging to the psyche and mental stability to anyone who has it (I am someone who identifies with one of these).

Binge Eating Disorder,
usually distinguished from conditions like Bulimia, where people overeat and then purge or force themselves to a vomit, is a painful and serious condition. It can cause excessive weight gain, and it results in feelings of intense guilt and shame that fuel the condition, making it difficult to stop.
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
I guessed but also in the paragraph above it said that the people who have this problem eat food without being hungry
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
Because BED causes the person affected to feel an increased amount of guilt with no way to reverse the effect of binging, ultimately pushing a person deeper into binging and more hatred.
I suffered from ANA and now I’m suffering from BED and ANA was by far more likeabke. (Although NO eating disorders are pleasant. BED makes me want to kill myself and I’ve already ruined everything, body wise.)
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
because you are damaging your body by giving it more calories than needed and not doing anything to lose it causing rapid over weight
